MEET RETTA
Dr Loretta "Retta" Tam is a linguist and anthropologist with a multicultural background. She obtained her PhD in Anthropology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and her professional masters in Language Program Management and TESOL from Macquarie University. Currently affiliated with the University of Hong Kong and IGDORE Sweden, Retta's research expertise lies in Diversity and Inclusion, Language Education, and Socioemotional Wellbeing, on which she has presented her work to local and international audiences alike. She is also a Fellow of the Royal Anthropological Institute of Great Britain and Ireland.
Outside of academia, Retta has more than two decades of professional experience in Corporate and Executive Training, Cultural Consulting, Verbal Branding, as well as Career and Life Purpose Coaching, offering tailored solutions to a global clientele. Having a passion for empowering youth through skill development and mental resilience, Retta has been involved in various experiential learning programs as program leader, advisor, and mentor. She also serves on adjudication panels of major inter-school performance contests in Hong Kong.
